Absolutely. I firmly believe reservists are deserving of the same honors and benefits as full-time sworn officers if they should die or become injured in the line of duty.

The California Reserve Peace Officers Association had an impressive poster several years ago showing a police officer standing on a sidewalk looking into a darkened alley. The caption said, "You wouldn't go in there for a million dollars. A police officer does it for $35,000 a year. A reserve officer does it for free."
