I am looking for some advise.

I would like to purchase a scope for my father-in-laws new muzzle loader (.45 cal). He will be taking shots anywhere between 25 and 75 yards.

I noticed Cabelas had some different products, but I ready don't know how to choose or how much I really need to spend.

Thank you for your help.

Hmmmm....

Just a warning before you go spend money, you might want to look into the Hunting Regs before you actually buy anything. In some states, like where I live in Washington for example, you can't use a scope on a blackpowder weapon.

If you let us know where your father hunts, it might help us out. Because, even if he can't use a scope, you could look into getting him something else neat, like....fiber-optic sights, which might be legal in his area.

Thanks for the reply.

We are in Alabama. The state has legalized the use of scopes on muzzle guns for this years deer hunting season.

Any advise would be appreciated.
