every time i see one of these threads, i am so thankful that i don't have to choose just one :D

i voted GP100, .357, 4" stainless.

SP101 3"bbl. As I have said before, it's the only one that is small enough to carry on a regular basis, but strong enough and with enough barrel length that it will do anything I ask of it again, and again and again....from now until my great-great grandchildren finally break in the gun.

Yeah. I just got one last month, so it's my new baby.

Blackhawk (Bisley configuration) 5 1/2" bbl chambered in 45 Colt - capable of just about anything I'd ever need. :)

Although i would love to have one of each, I chose the S&W 629.

Specifically, a 5" barreled S&W 629 w/out the lock.

if there are any you think should be on the list but aren't just pick the closest to it and name the one you wanted.

If I had to pick one

SP101 2" DAO. I can dress around it verry easy. It can shoot full power loads more comfortable than the light weights. Stock grips are good. Good for camp. Good for the City.

Tough choice as you listed my top three favorites. The GP-100, SP-101, and the Blackhawk. I could easily choose any of the three but I went with the GP-100 for versatility of roles.

Seeing that I just picked up my Python & that I've been wanting one since I was legal to purchase handguns in CA, I voted the Python :D

Although I am generally a S&W guy, my .357 is a 6 inch Ruger GP-100. I picked the Colt Python for two reasons. They are absolutely beautiful, accurate and smooth and I missed a deal on one about 20 years ago b/c my wife and I had to eat for the month and I can't afford one now. But someday.
