whats your favorite synthetic framed pistol make?

please name more specific model and caliber if you have one in mind.

I have owned multiple XDs with many other brands in between. I currently have a XD-M in .40 and have no intentions of ever letting this one go. I am even thinking of getting another one in 9mm.

My favorite polymer frame pistol happens to be my only one, a Glock G34 9mm. I purchase it new in Nov 08, and have pushed close to 1000 rounds thru it so far. had 2 failed to chamber rounds both with Remmington UMC green box. If the Walther p99 came with a longer barrel I would seriously consider it, but my next one is likely to be the FN 57.

for me, glock, springfield, and s&w all tie.

I voted glock though, because it's what I currently have. although I did have an M&P, and getting an xd for the wife.

Keltec is also runner up

Since you didn't specifically ask what aspect of the polymer pistol made it our favorite, I voted for the one that feels best in my hand; which would be the Steyr M9. I own and have used any number of polymer pistols, including Glock, H&K, Taurus, Kahr, and KelTec, and handling the Steyr is like placing my hand in a custom made glove. It's just that good of a fit for me.

What's great is there are so many good choices. In my mind, the M&P and the XD are tied for best overall, and that's taking cost into consideration. I haven't tried an XDm yet ... could sway me to picking a single winner, I dunno.

Glock is never gonna be a bad choice, but I do think the M&P and XD designs are more refined and user-friendly. Whether they're as tough when dragged through hell is another question. As long as you've got a few spare trigger springs on hand, the Glock is probably the best SHTF handgun choice.

I voted for my first pistol, a USP, but really I think we should have gotten two choices, maybe three, and I don't see FN on there...

I love my FNP-9m, it's one of my favorite pistols, light, perfectly sized for carry, and the sights line themselves up for me. Oh and it has never malfunctioned.

XD45

Points well, really easy to shoot, not too bulky for a 13+1 pistol in a real caliber.

It's damned ugly, but so are all the others.

It's a close call between my H&K USP 9mm and my S&W M&P 9mm. I voted for the Smith because it was certainly a better value!

Both have been utterly reliable, accurate and comfortable/fun to shoot.
