Trouble is .. one fave is hard to decide! Ok . fave is marlin 60 ... gotta be. pretty much a tack driver and 15 rnd capacity so ..... good times!!

Beyond that tho ...... HP-22 is great entertainment, also like my single 6 and Ruger 22/45. I too ....... lurv .22's!":)

Since this seems to include rifles and pistols, I'll move it to GenDisc.

Favorite pistol? My Ciener conversion kit atop my Les Baer frame; every kid needs a Les Baer .22LR. :)

Oddly, I don't own a .22 rifle at the time... :uhoh:

First gun Ruger MKII

70k and still going strong.

Rifle, Remington 597 with 3-9x32 scope, very easy to nail 1" groups all the time at 33 yards when the scope's on 9x. :D

Pistol, dont know yet, I just bought a EAA .22 conversion kit for my 1911 and I get to pick up my Ruger MkII Government from the dealer tomorrow, so I'll need until the weekend (hopefully the weather cooperates) to decide. Hopefully the MkII Govt, as it cost double what the EAA .22 kit cost, and that was a good chunk of change for a college kid to spend (but it was a jump on it immediately or risk never seeing another MkII for sale in MD ever again type of thing). :what:

Rifle? Hm...probably the only one I have, a Marlin 60 that's a lot of fun on days I can't get to the rifle range.

I see a Sig Trailside further on down the road though.

Kadet conversion kit for my CZ-75. For rifles, Chinese lookalike Mauser 98.

My favorite 22lr plinker was my 4" buckmark until i bought a ruger MkII 5.5" bull barrel.Ive gotten 1" groups at 25 yards off a sandbag rest with
remington thunderbolts. It does have a gold insert in the front sight that seems to help.

My Marlin Original Golden 39A with a Weaver 4x Classic Rimfire scope is deadly on woodchucks out to 100 yards with PMC Match Rifle ammo. My wife and I consistantly hit 12 GA shotgun shells with this combination at 75 yards.

But the rimfire that gets the most use is my 5½" Ruger Single Six. I plink with it nearly every weekend and the constant practice has really paid off for hunting woodchucks. This year I've bagged two with head shots at about 20 yards and one probable at 40 that went back down the hole.

With the rifle it's really no challenge. But with the Ruger SS I feel some pride.

Pistol would be my MkII with a 10" bull and LH walnut grips.

Rifle probably my son's Henry lever action. Lots of fun times shared chasing a can around the range with that one.

After I get around to building the 10/22 gattling gun though that may change :D

I have a Romanian 1969 trainer that has provided me many afternoons of fun shooting tennis balls at 25 yards....and you can't beat a rifle that's accurate, reliable and fun for $50!!!! :D

I have better guns, but fun-wise, that one is as good as they come. They don't always have to be high-priced.

Pistol: S&W 422 with a red dot scope

Rifle: Marlin 60 tube fed 18rds with 4x scope

Rev: Taurus 94 2"bbl

love to shoot the .22!

*BROKEN RECORD ALERT!*

Folks, there is NOTHING and I mean NOTHING like the laser rimfire death-ray that is the CZ 452 Lux with tangent sights. Ptchhuu THWAP Ptchhuu THWAP way, way out beyond the range of most mortal .22LR's

Rifle - 550-1 hand-me-down.. started family service as my fathers rat plinker at the dump many, many years ago.. saw heavy service by me during my mis-spent youth. I wouldn't venture a guess as to how many rounds have been through this thing, tens of thousands at least. Looks like it's been through the ringer, twice.. but it still functions and shoots great! Somehow manages "minute of can" accuracy at 100 yds to this very day. The hi-capacity tubular magazine is very tactical as well :D

One of the "funnest" guns I've ever owned:

small_StoegerLuger_R.jpg

Also the least expensive, I might add. A Stoeger .22 Luger replica that I bought new for around $100 in the late 70's. It's a bit finicky about ammo and has been known to jam on more than one occasion - but it's the most naturally pointing gun I have, it's got a pretty sweet trigger, it's accurate as all get out despite its simple fixed sights, and you just gotta love that signature Luger clickety-clack toggle action with every shot :D

Swingset, I'm with you. I own bunches of 22s but, the Romanian is the one I shoot most often!

I'll 'third' the Marlin golden 39A. My grandpa has one and it's one of those magic rifles that make me shoot accurately.:what:

Pistol, same as a lot of folks, the Ruger, my preference is the 22/45.

Rifle, CZ 452, the one with the extra long bbl (a little over 28", marked on the bbl as BRNO 2500). I love the rifle, extra accurate, fun to shoot, great iron sights, but why in the world did they put a recoil pad on this thing.
