My thought was "He's considered a felon because he wrote a bad check"?
My brother was recently considered to be in the hole for $9,000. What for? A bank teller mistyped $1,000 into $10,000. Caused all sorts of problems for him.
Far too much of a non-violent nature are felonies today.
Here in MT the Fish-Wildlife-Parks keeps tabs on the success of those who draw permits with follow-up calls, etc. I would not be surprised at all if an unfilled tag was allocated to a future hunt.
Johnathan:
That's a good deal. I think that's exactly what should be done (allocated to future hunts) with those bison tags if any of them go unfilled. I was only half joking about animal rights people putting in on the draw. I've heard stories (don't know if they're true or not) of animal rights people putting in on draw hunts in order to limit the chances of hunters drawing a permit. And I know there's some controversy about that Montana bison hunt. If an animal rights person wants to pay for a license and bison tag if he or she draws, then never kill a bison, only to see that unfilled tag allocated to a hunter for a future hunt, that's fine with me.
