Final Steyr Mag group buy in Thread

Well folks we finally are at the point where I am ready to start accepting money so we can get these Steyr LE mags ordered. My plan is to order every single M9 mag that they have available. Then after all of the mail order cash comes in I will finish ordering the M40 mags. That is the plan so far. I have put together a great order page using Paypal. I know they are antis, but they sure made it easy to accept payments. I am no web guru, but even I was able to put this site together.

Here is the breakdown:

Steyr M9 magazine holds 14 rounds $8.99

Steyr M40 magazine holds 12 rounds $8.99

Shipping for 1-5 mags $3.85

Shipping for 6-10 mags $5.05

That is the actual cost to ship via USPS Priority Mail

Ordering the mag with paypal is going to cost an extra $0.50 per mag, but it is going to make things a lot easier on me, and you. If you do want to go the snail mail route there is a link on my site. Print off the snail mail order sheet and get it out by Friday. If you missed the other thread where we talked about all of this. I am going to say one more time. I will not shipping these mags until Sept 14. There are no exceptions! That would violate federal law and is not worth it.

If you have any questions at all please email me. I am trying to keep all of the messages that you guys have sent me in one place, or post it here so that I can answer for everyone. The easiest way to do this is by email since I can put them all in one folder.

I am planning to post updates on how everything is going. I will also take a few photos of the mags and the sales invoice so that everyone know they really got purchased.

Thanks for all the great response. My guess is next week is going to be a busy week with a whole bunch of checks coming in the mail.
 
For some reason I couldn't get the paypal page (probably my lame dial-up service), but I put my payment for 4 m40 mags in the mail. Thanks.

Sorry about that I couldn't resist having a little fun with you guys.

So far we have all of the orders in I was expecting. I have taken orders for 124 magazines. 56 were for the M9 and 68 were for the M40. That is a good thing becuase they have a huge supply of the M40 and not so many for the M9. I think we maybe have another 40-50 mags that are being paid via snail mail. That is a huge amount of mags. I am personally going to by at least ten of each. Then I will have a few extras if anybody else needs one after Spet 14th. Of course if someone want to buy one after Sept 14th they are going be paying close to $20 not $8.99. Thanks everyone for your orders.


I have had a few more people express concern that the AWB is not going to sunset. I would recomend checking out www.awbansunset.com for more information. Today I was nosing around the forum section and from what everyone is saying there they really are expecting this ban to sunset. I guess all we can do is, hope pray, cross our fingers, and anything else you think will help to make sure this law sunsets.


Here is a nice counter so we can keep track of how long we have.

What happens if ye-olde poo hits the fan, and the AWB get's re...whatevered, and all the mags remain LEO?

Additionally, where do the mags go until the Ban sunsets, provided it does?

Well, it looks really good for a sunset. If you read the topics over at the legal section you will see how unlikely it is for congress to get a bill through extending the stupid ban. I look forward to getting the magazines! :)
 
I have an old family friend that is a FFL. He is keeping all of the mags until Sept 14th. I will then mail them out to everyone.

Good news guys!! I just placed the first order for our Steyr LE mags. I couldn't believe it, as of right now not counting the mail in orders we have orders for 170 mags. It was split exactly down the middle 85 for each caliber. Just to be safe I ordered 110 of the M9 mags. They only had a 150 left and I didn't want to chance them running out so now I have a few extra of the M9, and I need to order a few more M40s because I am around 16 short. The good news is they have well over 1000 of the M40 mags in stock so in another week or so I will finish off the order. It doesn't look like we are going to run out of anything, so everyone should get what they order.

Now that this is done I am entertaining the idea of doing another group buy for some of the other LE mags they have available. Do you think anyone would be interested? The Steyr order I am doing out of the goodness of my heart because I want to help out all of us that own Steyr handguns. If I do another group buy I think I will add a dollar or so to the amount. That way I can afford to buy a few more for myself.

I will still take paypal orders until July 19th. That is when I plan to place the last of the Steyr order.
 
CDNN has Glock LE mags in their latest catalog,

Used are listed at $6.99 for the 17, 19, 20, 21, and 22

New at $11.99 for 17, 19, and 21

New at $12.99 for the 26 (11 round)

I don't know what kind of shape the used mags are in, but if they are in good shape, $6.99 is a deal, especially if they discount for a bulk purchase. $11.99 is closer to what Klinton mags cost right now, but it is still less. That, and the fact that there will probably be a run on new standard capacity mags once the ban sunsets, it might be worth it, especially if there is a bulk discount.

Glocks are so popular, I suspect there would be a lot of people interested.

I'd personally like to get some USP Compact mags for the 9mm and .40, but I don't know where to find them.

CDNN is also listing SIG-Sauer LE Mags at great prices right now, and that might be an option:

P226 or P229 .40/357 12 round, new, $14.99

P226 9mm, 15 round, "like new", $9.99

SIG PRO, new, .40/357 12 round or 15 round 9mm, $9.99

Some ideas anyway...

My plan is to wait until next week when I have the Steyr mags in. I am going to post a pic of the Steyr mags and an invoice from CDNN showing that they are here, just so people have proof that I am really following through with what I said. Then I am going to make a website where people can purchase whatever mags they want.

From everything I have seen CDNN is the way to go. I talked to them about the used mags, I guess they have thousands of them. Plus a good assortmant of Sig, HK, and S&W. Keep your eyes peeled I am planning on post here and on GT.
 
I just placed another order for two more M9 mags via the paypal order website you set up. That puts me at 5 total M9 mags.
