I am working to organize another group buy for some law enforcement magazines. I recently organized a group buy for some Steyr Law enforcement mags. I got orders for 220 mags, they are now sitting at my FFL waiting for the AWB to sunset on Sept 14th so that I can ship them out.
My plan is to allow people to purchase any LE mag that CDNN has in stock. They have mags for G17, G19, G21, G22, G20, and many more! My FFL will take possession, and store the mags until they are legal for us non LE folks to own on Sept 14th. I imagine many of you are asking "why go through this guy" that is a good question and let me see if I can explain why this might be a good idea. After the AWB sunsets there is going to be a time where us consumers are going to be paying some rather hefty prices on newly available standard capacity mags. We don't know if this law will be gone forever, or for just a few months. By purchasing mags that are only available to LE will be able to purchase standard capacity mags before the prices go through the roof. We can get used Glock 17, 19, 21, 22 mags for as little as 6.99 a piece, or we can buy new Glock mags for 11.99. They also have mags for HK, Ruger, Sig, Beretta, and S&W. I am guessing that the mags that are $6.99 right now will probably be around $15 after the ban sunsets.
The obvious question is “What happens if the AWB doesn't sunset?" That is a good question and I honestly don't know what I would do. Bottom line is we would not be able to take possession of the mags, and we would have to find a way to liquidate the order. There is some element of risk in ordering these mags. From everything I have read I would put the chance of the AWB being renewed at around 2%. I am no expert and I could be wrong. If you don't like taking a chance and possible loosing some money then don't order. If you like the idea of getting a hell of a deal on some standard capacity mags then please take advantage of my offer.
I will be perfectly honest this time around I am not organizing this for nothing. After organizing the Steyr group buyI was surprised at how much time there was in emailing and documenting the payments, and I haven't even got to the place where I will be packaging and mailing out everything. For this group buy I will be charging an extra $1 for every mag. I feel this would adequately cover the time I will be investing. There is also and extra $0.20 to $0.50 fee for using Paypal. I will also accept mail in payments; snail mail payments will not have any extra fee.
