Poor little fellow was just begging me to take him home, how could I say no?

For the low price of $360 OTD, I picked up this second gen G19 w/2 mags. How did I do?

Congrats. and welcome to the club. The Glock 19 is the best 9mm money can buy IMHO. Good price too.

You bought the best all around handgun there is for a pittance.

How do you think you did?

I think I did well. I was hoping for a 26, but they were all out of my price range. As long as I can conceal the 19 fine, I'm 100% happy. If I can't conceal it, well only 98% happy :neener:

I don't like Glocks

BUT I would have bought that in a NY minute for $360. Thats the kind of deal I am looking for with a Glock so I can train myself to like the grip angle.

03Shadowbob:

Have you held the 19 before? I was in the same shoes, I didn't like Glocks at all. I handled my friends 27 a bit and figured it was comfortable enough for concealed carry. After some reading and thinking, I figured might as well get the 19 so I can carry and plink with it.

The first Glock I held was a 17 and I didn't care for it at all. The 19 feels very natural to me and points just right.

Skud,
I think the 19 was one of the first Glocks I picked up and just didn't like the grip angle. It is really just a personal thing and a mindset that I can change but it would need to be a sweet deal like what you got to help push me into buying a Glock. Until I find a deal like that I will stick with the 1911s and similar.

Little high for a Gen 2 (I've picked up a 19 and a 17 for $300, and seen several others for $300)

If it has night sites it is worth the extra $60...

That might be a little bit high, but if I happened to have 360 bucks in my pocket, that price would have been low enough for me to finally buy a Glock to try out. It's nice that you got two mags with it as well.

I own a G19 2nd gen a prefer it to the 3rd Gen grips....In my area, that price is a STEAL! I'd buy another one at that price for sure....congrats!

I broke down and finally bought a Glock (34) last year. I can't say enough good about this gun, it has amazed me and I'm a traditional revolver guy that generally hates anything new and definitely anything plastic.

Went to the range this weekend and put 120 rounds down range with almost no problems. After 2 mags it failed to lock the slide back, but it will lock it back when I rack the slide on an empty mag. One of the mags is dated 94, and I'm not sure of the date on the other. I'm pretty sure they just need rebuilt. What a good reason to buy more mags :D

The nice thing is...

Mags are cheap and plentiful About 20 skittles for a new one and I picked up 10 used police mags for 6 skittles each

Skittles = $

I think i have 20 mags for my 19.

One of my fave shooters.

I conceal my G22 all the time pretty well. Some of my shirts are a little to small for this though. Im 6'1" and 195 lbs.

Nice! Great thing about Glocks is mags and parts are inexpensive and readily available. Barring any future draconian legislation, that is.

Don't think you'll have any trouble concealing the 19. I carry mine everyday. Got you bet on the price though, $325 new with 3 15rd mags. Dealer friend of mine was going out of buisness.
