Some of you may remember previous posts of mine this summer regarding my skeet shooting progress.....when I broke 20, when I got stuck on 22...

Tonight I finally shot a straight! :D:D:D

At our club, the tradition is that when a shooter gets his first 25 straight on the skeet field, somebody grabs his hat and the rest of the squad puts one shell each into it. Luckily I was wearing an old hat I found behind the seat of my truck, not my "shooting hat" that has my Rifleman patch on it!

Well; here it is::D

I guess I might as well throw a picture of the shootin' iron in here as well:

Who says you can't shoot skeet with a pump?;)
Thanks for letting me brag:D

Congratulations! I remember when I got my first straight in trap. It was just my son and I shooting. The hat didn't receive near the damage yours got. It was still special to have my son there to witness the event. Isn't that a Winchester 1300 or have my eyes deceived me? The 1300 is my favortie pump gun. Congrats again!

Skeet with a pump is a real blast. Congrats on your 25! I'm still going for a straight with my 410 BPS pump, shots straights in the other gages with pumps. Isn't that such a great feeling?

Congrats and Mazeltov!!

Nice shotgun, and you never heard ME saying skeet cannot be shot well with a pumpgun.....

I was at a ridiculous fly fishing and sporting clays store in Sun Valley on Monday.

They had a nice straw hat I liked. It was $225. Of course, I didn't buy it, and I kept my laughter inside until we left the store. My wife, who had seen it and thought it was a very nice hat, still thought I was joking when I told her the price.:)

So, not only do I congratulate you on your first skeet straight, but I also congratulate you on your wise choice of hat on that day!:D

And now, should you be so inclined, you at least have the option shoot skeet while wearing a hat that costs as much as some shotguns...

Congratulations!!!! :D It's a great accomplishment! There is no easy bird on the field. I've shoot more rds of 24 where I've gotten to either 7 or 8 and missed an "easy" target because I was not focused enough. Great job!

Congratulations... and that looks like a very nice 1300 you have there.
