Fixed sight 9mm question

Any idea what weight bullet most fixed sight 9MM are sighted for from the factory?
I'm a revolver shooter and I'm used to standard weight bullets such as 158 grain for .38 spl or .357.
I think my last 45 ACP fixed sight gun was set up for 230 grain.

Try 115 gr to start. If it's an ex-LEO gun can't really say as it will depend on which rd the agency carried and had their guns set up for.

You can always contact the manufacturer. I believe that my CZ was sighted for 124gr. It seems slightly more accurate with 124s than the standard 115s I feed it, but at the 7-10yd distances I shoot, its not a big enough reason for me to play around with it. I can deal with 1 inch off here or there. Maybe when I become a good enough shot to realize the potential of the gun, I will fiddle with it.

The "de-facto" military 9mm loading is 124 grain ball and that's what most handguns will be regulated to, particularly if there's a government agency that uses them.

The 9 grain difference between 115 and 124 is barely noticeable in POI change, as is the pumpkin trajectory that can occur in the 65 grain difference in available .45 acp bullets (165-230).

Remember, sights are regulated by bullet velocity and the amount the muzzle rises before the bullet leaves the barrel. In most cases heavier bullets are slower and have a higher POI at handgun ranges, but this not written in stone.
