FN Five Seven, why so expensive?

They need to ship that production line to turkey like Beretta did with their Cougar.
The Turkish product off the same machinery is identical for half the money.

While I hesitate to add yet another caliber, I'd make an exception for a $500 5.7

I bought mine for $850, so I didn't do too badly. I have enjoyed shooting this pistol probably more than any other I own. It is just so "different" to shoot. Its tough to explain, but you experience very little recoil impulse maybe 30-40% of 9mm, plenty of noise, and a supersonic rifle sounding CRACK out of this gun. Its awesome, I haven't regretted purchasing it. Accuracy has bee very good, good enough for me to consider trying it out calling coyotes this winter.
