FN makes a Polymer frame double action pistol with an ambidextrous decocker in a 9mm. Sometime this year, FN expected to make this gun in the .40 S&W verison. It's a good looking gun, I'm just dying to shoot something with it. I've tryed to find a review for the FNP-9 but I've had no luck. Overall lenght 7.9" Barrel lenght 4" it comes with lot's of goodies.

I haven't seen, handled, or shot one yet, but I'm really interested in it.

You may have more luck asking about the Browning PRO-9, since it's the same gun, just under the Browning moniker. It's a lot easier to find Browning guns around here, if that's any help.

Good luck, and please let us know what you learn.

I'm going to move this to the Semi-Auto pistol forum. One of our members here (owen) works for FN and has done some work with this pistol.

there was a right up on it and FN's new Police Shotgun. in one of the police/combat weapons mags 2 months ago. can't remeber which one. but the article really liked it.

The current issue (December2003/January 2004) issue of HANDGUNS is featuring the Browning 9mm Polymer PRO-9. According to the article the suggested list price is $628., it's 7 1/4 " oal and weighs 24 oz. It's a gun mag so you know they are going to give it a favorable review, but it's worth reading to get some insight. Hope it helps!
