If you do not or have not owned one of these revolvers then please do not chime in with your opinions of Taurus firearms. Thank you.
For those who own a 605 (.357) or 85 (.38 spl) five shot revolver...regardless of barrel length... do you like it, love it, hate it, trust it with your life etc?
The Taurus website claims that these are only the two revolvers that have a zero tolerence policy for quality control in order to insure that they are going to work every time in order to save a life due to the fact that Taurus recognizes that these are the most popular CCW guns they offer.
As for me, I own a 605 and do trust my life to it. I find it to be second best to only the finest revolvers in terms of fit finish and cost. Loaded with 5 rounds of 100 gain Cor-Bon Pow-R-Ball it shoots just like full size 9mm. No recoil and as accurate as one could expect a snubbie to be. Plus, unlike S&W, the lock is in the hammer, therefore can be removed simply by changing hammers if I ever felt the need to, but I have had no problem, so why bother?
Thanks for your input
