I have a faint recollection of asking this question somewhere before, but if I did I don't remember where or any of the answers, so, here I go...
I have been thinking of trying to get into a Form 1 suppressor because I have no interest in waiting a year to get a stamp. The world will be completely different in a year I believe. So, I've been thinking about a solvent trap to do the Form 1 with. I have read that .22lr is the only way to go with these, but that's okay since that is what I want.
Has anyone here done this and been happy with the results? Any companies to deal with that are reputable? I have heard that ATF doesn't really like these and have shut companies down, so, are there any out there at all?
In my opinion, people should be begging shooters to suppress their firearms instead of making it difficult to do so.

Has anyone here done this and been happy with the results?
It is how I did my four. Three rimfires and a Blackout level can.
And I was extraordinarily happy, hence the four of them.:)

Any companies to deal with that are reputable?
I have two from XRT Tactical. They are top notch.

I have heard that ATF doesn't really like these and have shut companies down,
My other two were from Diversified Machine. They were also well made, but yes, the company was shut down and their records seized.
It isn’t the companies. It’s the not following the law.

Don’t drill until you have an approved stamp! Not even if you work there!;)

The sooner you get the form started the sooner you get one back.
My last two took seventeen days. Many won’t buy until then, but I start getting things around. Not everything is in stock at the same time. Have your plastic monetary device ready!

Like Pringle’s, once you don’t POP, you can’t stop!:D

Ah Ha! Found it!
The Classic New Bee.
My adventures.

Out of business maybe?
Google, on the other hand, does hate them. Duck, duck, go has them at the top of the results for the letters “xrtt”.

This will take you straight to the rimfire sized options.

If you hurry, and are so inclined, he’s got aluminum tubes available right now.
I really like the fluted tubes that came out just after I bought mine.:(
He now has modular extensions as well.
But my wrist are strong and I love the quiet. I wouldn’t likely have the short version only, like for a faster more maneuverable pistol. But the extension does make a visually interesting tube set.
There’s a lot of options just in this page.:)

I went full nerd on the two I ordered and got baffles in descending lengths. One has fourteen. I think there is a point of diminishing returns. They are supremely quiet, but I could have saved a few baffles and their monies.
I think my rimfires were just over $400 each.
And I want more!:D

The making of them required drilling a hole of the proper size. (9/32”) snapping the baffles together and sliding them into the tube.
The very last baffle gets the skirt sanded down for a perfect cap fitting, the cap tightening all the baffles together.

I also got one as a “rimless”. The last baffle still needed shortening and I don’t think it looks as clean as a rimmed end cap, but it works just a well. I just don’t like seeing the seam from the front.

One spacer is required at the front to keep the first baffle from touching the muzzle on these design.

I love my suppressors. I don’t know why they aren’t over the counter available, but they should be!:D
For the little bit of work and not much money I use one nearly every time I use a firearm.
