The government and school administrators need to be held accountable on a serious moral issue.

On one hand, neither law enforcement nor a school is responsible for injuries suffered during a school shooting. The Supreme Court has long held that local law enforcement has no legal duty to protect an individual. On the other hand, schools with “gun free zones” provide students with no realistic means of protecting themselves.

To school administrators, I ask, what system do you have in place to protect against or prevent deranged shooters from massacring your students? It is your moral obligation to allow your students to protect themselves on your campus.

I don't see the point in making colleges "Gun Free Zones" when the real solution is so obvious: make them all "Death Free Zones."

It shouldn't matter to legislators and college administrators what instrument is used to murder other people. The terrible thing should be that those people have been murdered.

So I have no idea why lawmakers and those in charge of colleges want people murdered by knives, cars, poisons, explosives, or any of the other possible means except guns.

Those people have it in their power to prevent not only murders but all other deaths on college campuses, including from heart attacks, AIDS, automobile accidents. food poisoning, and old age. But they refuse to meet their responsibility to make college campuses absolutely safe.

The time has come to do away with Gun Free Zones and replace them with Death Free Zones. As a next stage the legislators and college administrators should make colleges Stupidity Free Zones to elevate the intelligence of everyone who enters a college campus.

If budgets are so strained that a complete changeover from Gun Free Zones to Death Free Zones is too expensive to implement immediately, perhaps the legislators and college administrators could pass laws prohibiting murder on campuses. They might even make the penalty for violating that law really strict, such as suspension for a semester or even loss of a scholarship.
