Considering selling a Franchi AL 48 ,20 gauge,28 inch modified barrel and in very good shape. A couple of use scratches on the stock, What would be a fair asking price?

Not sure of the age ,I assume its an older one as it is made in Italy and imported by Stoeger, vent rib, very light

I would think right at 500 for an older one. Do you know if it is a deluxe or not? The deluxe models had nicer wood and checkering. Nicer, but not great.

I've sold four (4) 48-ALs in the last 18 months, and have two that have yet to sell despite being on consignment display for a year now at a LGS. Twenties definitely sell for more than twelves, but in general you're gonna struggle to get more than $400 for a 20ga and more than 300 for a 12ga. They are really nice neat guns but they do NOT hold their value well.

It has decent wood and the checkering is nice and sharp.but I don't know if its a deluxe model or not. I know that its very nice to carry for quail.

They are great guns. Im a fan of long recoil operation and the 48AL is nice and light. As rbernie says though, they don't hold their value. They sell for around 800-850 new I think but the used ones are marginally low.

It sounds like you have one of the up-optioned ones. GB lists an older 48AL 20 ga Deluxe that sold for $520.

Thank you guys for all the info, Sorry I was'nt much help on the gun .I bought it a few years ago ,but have a couple 20 gauges that I use more.so I figured this might go on the block.
