Mine got 6 inch groups at 7 yards untill I sent it back to SA. Now I get one inch groups consistantly. Mine was just a fluke though. I have since changed out the firing pin, firing pin spring, grip safety (hammer bite), main spring, main spring cap, main spring cap pin, and the main spring retainer pin. It is more than reliable in its stock configuration though. I just changed them out because of my own personal preference.

What do you consider acceptable accuacy If I remember right the military belived 6 in groups at 50 meters was acceptable for a issued 45

Most of the new GI 1911's will group 3" or so at 25 yards, some will do a little better but not much. That's not bad for a CCW gun considering you will have a difficult time convincing LE folks a life threatening situation existed if you pop someone over 10 yards away from you. :uhoh:

My Colt WWI reproduction is more than accurate enough, although some folks would consider the 3.25-pound trigger a little light for carry.

I totally agree with my good friend Ala Dan. His "Springer" G.I. Mil- Spec, and mine are brothers. Mine is also totally accurate. Must be good breeding :D

Mine shoots more more accurately than me and has been stone cold reliable through 5,000 rounds. It is one of the best values in a .45 out there.
