Folks, if you don't have one (or 2) it's time for a RSC / Safe.
I just got 2 each CANNON RSC's (been planned for awhile to purchase). But, they are the last line of defense.
1. Lock your doors & windows. You would not believe the # of homes & cars burgled because the thief just walked in!
2. We have ADT security system. The casual smash & grab kid or doper will see the sign out back or in front and usually look for another house to hit. If they were bold enough to force the door, the ear splitting screech and the knowlege LEO are on the way will make them scoot.
3. The RSC's are not true safes. But much better then in a closet or under the bed. Yes, given the time & tools, an RSC can be breached. However, LEO's would be reading them their rights long before the RSC can be broken into.
Now, we live in a very good neighborhood, in town, and the fire department is 2 miles away. LEO would respond fast to the ADT or a 911 call. Many live in the country where the home is secluded, fire and LEO is a good distance away. Home securtiy systems may not be offered in all areas.
With the current events & gun climate here in the US, there is a real possibility gun owners may be forced to have a RSC in the not to near future. The UK requires it and they are inspected by The Firearms Officer!
O' course I'm just sayin'...'n IMHO...
