I'm going to purchase a Glock 9mm. I'm okay with either as long as the Mags can interchange with the the Kel Tec Sub2000. Meaning I'll get either the 17 or 19, but I want to be able to use the same mags in both as well as use the 33 rders in whichever Glock I get. I prefer the 19 but will go with the 17 as the size of pistol matters less to me than the ability to interchange mags. It's all about practicality here.

Can someone clear this up? Thank you.

When you buy the Sub 2000 just be aware of the grip length and make sure it matches your Glock mags. Or just get the short one and be good for all mags.
In short the Sub comes in two grip sizes.

The most common Sub2K is the Glock 17 version. Glock 19 mags are too short to fit it.

That being said, if you go to the Kel-Tec Owners Group site, ( www.ktog.org ) there are threads about how to shorten the K-T Glock 17 grip to make it a Glock 19 version.

The grip on the K-T G17 version isn't too long itself, you may find the G19 version is too short for you.

Either one will take the 33 round mag, as will all Glock 9mm pistols. Neither will take the G26 mag.

Both, Sub2K and Glock, are great guns, you'll enjoy them.

I just recently bought the Sub2K set up for a Glock 17 mag. I have a Glock 19 so I cut off the grip about 3/8" in the front tapered to 9/16" in the rear. This in my opinion does not affect the grip length enough to worry about it. Just compare the G19 and G17 mags, they have a different angle at the base.

I was unaware of one being more common than the other but I got one of each in the .40 and the short grip in 9mm. The short grips are a bit small but I have lots of mags for G19 & 23 so I wanted that option. Never thought of cutting, good idea.

I would get the G17. There is only ~.5" difference between the G17 and G19. Plus the G17 mags will work right out of the box with zero mods!

that 0.5 inch difference is significant in terms of concealed carry. my g17 is way harder to carry concealed than my g19 and many times my GF tells me the grip is showing or the muzzle is imprinting through the side of the pants..

I find the thickness of a CCW is more important to me since I carry IWB 90% of the time. Both the G17 and G 19 are 1.18" thick. Also the OP stated that
the size of pistol matters less to me than the ability to interchange mags.
