Glock 17 Gen 4 issues?

I want to buy a Glock 17 Gen 4 but I know there have been some issues with them when they came out. Is this gun good to go now or are do they still have problems. The only complaints I have heard of were the ones I read on line. People I have talked to that shoot them love them. I do not want a Gen 3. I prefer the Gen 4.

The actual number of people who posted problems seems to be few. The original recoil spring that shipped with the gen4 9's was a bit too stout for the 115gr ammo. Glock revised the stock spring to be a couple pounds lighter than the original. For the G17 the original spring was stamped "01" on the back and the new one is stamped "02". Glock is sending the revised spring to all those that ask.

My gen4 G19 has not had any issues. If have a hunch that these Gen4's might benefit from a little break in as my G19's action felt much smoother after the first 200 rounds.

I would recommend the gen4's without reservation. Also if you join the GSSF for $35 you can buy one with three mags for $400-$425 via a Glock discount.
