Glock 19 vs Glock 30

Here's the dilemma fellas,

I have an exellent Milt Sparks IWB holster for my Glock 19, and there are times that I forget I'm even carrying. However, as much as I love 9mm, I love 45 ACP even more. I held a G30 the other day, and it felt roughly comparable to the 19. Will the G30 fit the Sparks holster? Does anyone out there have both? Personal stories perhaps?

Can't you check specs on the Glock site? Or maybe take your holster to a gun shop & see if a G30 fits??

Highly unlikely. I have a Glock 30 and a VMII and can tell you that the G30 is much thicker than a G19. I am sure that the G19 will fit in the G30 holster since it is thinner but I honestly do not think it will provide a secure enough hold.

The G30 is definitely thicker than the G19.

Both are great firearms, IMHO, definitely among Glock's best.

The G30 is much thicker, however the G36 will fit a 19 holster.

Yes in most keydex holsters a 36 and a 19 will interchange, but don't ruin a Milt Sparks holster. Order a new one for the Glock 30. It's not that much wider than a 36 and you'll have more rounds in the pistol even if you will likely never need them.

10-ring, I wouldn't waste the great people here's time - the glock site has been down for at least 24 hours - and it looked so hot before after the facelift...

Thank you for the replies - I've never fired the 30 or 36 to be honest, but I want to. I like the 19 a lot, but I've got that hankerin' for 45.

Especially after today...

It'll be a LONG day at work tomorrow...
