Glock .40sw - unsupported chamber problem fix?

I know about wiggle room for the 40 and 9, having spent so many hours experimentally overloading them.

The SAAMI pressure is very wimpy, and many 40 sw feed ramps have been cut down to take advantage of the that wimpy pressure. Any hot stuff, and the case blows out down the feed ramp. I have done this countless times.

The 9mm pistols out there have good case support, and thus +P+ is for sale from lawyered up corporations.

What does it all mean?
The key is case support.

The problem isn't or wasn't out of spec ammo, its out of spec unsupported barrels!! I went through 2000 out of 5000 rounds of speer and remington factory 40S&W brass from the police range and miked them out. Many were more than .0010 past safe to reuse limits and many had pronounced bulges. I have owned numerous 40's, 1 browning, 3 S&W, 1 XD, 2 Sigs, 1 Glock, 2 Taurus and the only one that had once fired factory brass out of spec was the Glock. Hopefully Glock has resolved this problem as this made what could have been a fine handgun, very undesirable for me.

As for the Kabooms, I have read on forums its due to firing lead bullets, but I have witnessed one on a police range using factory brass jacketed ammo. I feel this was due to sloopy unsupported chambers. As the owner of a very large gunshop once told me, they feed everything because of the chambers on the large side. I am not too sure I agree with that as I have had several 40's feed anything. I personally feel all 40S&W chambered guns should have supported chambers, if for nothing more than consumer peace of mind.

Glock unsupported chamber

I have a Glock 21, 21C and a 30 (with the accessory rail). The lower rear outer area around the chamber of the 30 seems to be beefed up compared to my 21s. Given that most KB photos of Glock .45s I've seen are torn along both sides of the lower rear portion of the chamber, I am thinking that the beefed-up portion of my 30 is Glock's preventive measure against KBs. Can anyone confirm that? Or is the extra steel for a different purpose?
