Hi. I first want to say that I am not uber familiar with the glock internals, so please excuse me if this is a dumb question. I was just wondering if when you take out the trigger housing pin to swap backstraps, how do you know you dont alter the trigger assembly? Does it move around without the pin? Thanks.

Does it move around without the pin?

Not if the slide is still on the gun. Even if the slide is off, you would have to pry the assembly out of the V shaped slot in the frame.

This. It's a friction-fit arrangement and nothing is spring loaded to keep it in place. To get the holes to become misaligned you'd have to really bang the gun around. And even then I have my doubts.

It's a b$%^& to get the new pin in. Take your time, it takes a bit of force to get the second hole in the back strap lined up.

If it was easy, it would be floppy or creaky. I like the smaller extended beaver tail the best.

I am not known for having gentle fingers for intricate work, and even I find the complete disassembly and assembly of Glock pistols a walk in the park. While I believe that anything can be misaligned given enough effort and talent, it's very hard to do with a Glock. You will not break it.
