I'm returning a very troublesome Kahr PM45 I bought used. The shop is giving me full credit toward another gun. I need an EDC, haven't done anything yet but I did get my paws on a NIB Glock 26 gen4, I liked the feel better than any gen3 I've handled. Are there any known issues with the gen4 Glocks now? Any HighRoader's have experience with the G26 gen4?

thx

I have "heard" of people having issues. However I have seen a g-19 gen 4 run and had no issues. I have shot it many times myself though it is not mine, and never had any issues.

Glock 22 about 1500 rounds now and not one problem induced buy myself or the pistol yet.
I recommend it to anyone I speak about it.

From the research that I have done on the G26 gen 4 there are only a few changes on the Sub compact line of Glocks. The Gen 4 has the agressive texture grip, the larger ambi capable mag release, the changable backstraps, and a new G26 gen 4 comes w/ a third Mag! :) My understandings of the problems that the full size and compact line of Gen 4 Glocks are having are all related to the new double guide rod spring that was added. The sub compact Glocks have always had that double spring design and it has been proven so I don't think I will hesitate to buy a sub compact Gen 4 Glock in the future. There are some good vids on youtube on the Gen 4 vs Gen 3 G26.

I have a G19 (the best Glock ever made in my very very humble opinion) Generation 4 and like it a lot. Has never jammed on me. If very accurate. Yet, the rough finish WILL take skin off IF it rubs against skin. Solution: get a holster that does not allow the rough grips to touch your belly, back, or sides. I will say one thing about that texture: you could be dripping with sweat and never come close to dropping that gun. I don't think you can go wrong with a Gen 4.

G17's and to a lesser degree the G19's were having problems due to being sprung too heavy. The newer guns are shipping with a lighter recoil set up that seems to solve most of the problems. No issues with the 26 or 27 since they were alreadsy set up for the dual recoil system. I shot several of my friends GEN 4 G19's before I bought. Ended up with the GEN 3. Like the feel of the GEN 4's SF/backstrap set up. But between the above mentioned problems and the GEN 4's trigger I bought a GEN 3. The trigger set up has been changed on the GEN 4 G19's and they are heavy and gritty.
Shocked some of my buddies when they compared my GEN 3's trigger to their GEN 4. I also put a Rocket 3.5 lb. connector in mine. Don't know if they will work on a GEN 4 but I would sure give it a shot if they will work. If I could get a better trigger out of it I might get one down the road.

or you could get some emory cloth and buff it to a texture that is not so abrasive to your skin. easy fix.
