Glock sights ??? What to choose for USPSA ? XS Sights ?

I have used just about all of them. The stock ones suck, I really hate my combat, not good for anything but dark Tritium dot sights. I love the fiber optic red, but cannot stand having a plastic adjustable rear sight. Replaced it with a good adjustable, but it hangs over the rear of the gun. I love the red fiber but will give it up quickly for something else that I can see better. Has anyone used the XS sights with the shallow V rear and the big round dot out front ? I have seen them on Youtube shot by Yeager from Tactical Response. I have met him and trust his judgment. But would rather get some more ideas before I blow more on another set of sights that won't work. Has anyone else used the XS sights or have any other ideas? As for anything that does not stand out, it just won't work. I need to get my eyes laser corrected, but am waiting until after the shooting season to do that.
 
The gigantor dot of the XS may interfere with the precision required for long range stuff like 20yd head shots, 25 yard plates, and 40 yard US poppers. All of which I have encountered...

Many people like the Dawson Precision fiber-optic sights. The rear is adjustable and does not overhang. I cannot abide by dots or stuff on the rear, fore years I used Aero-tek red fiber/tritium combo fronts with the stock Glock rear, one gun fixed, one Adj. Went to Heinie Straight 8s now, really don't miss the daytime fiber.
 
http://www.dawsonprecision.com/ has what you are looking for. I use the target black adjustable in the rear and the .125 wide front with fiber insert. They are built very stout and come with the tools you’ll need to install them. I use a drop of E6000 (a non hardening adhesive sealant) to secure the front sight screw as any thread locker can be too much on the tiny threads of the front sight.
 
Thats what I want thinking about the big dot at least too BIG. Would go with the lil dot if anything, but I really liked the quick pickup of the white outline and fiber dot red front. Can hit the A zone head shots at 25 without a problem with that, but the plastic Glock rear went south and had to be replaced.
 
I just installed big dots on my G17 about 3 weeks ago. I spent this past weekend at a 2 day defensive pistol class where I ran about 1200 rounds with the new set-up. We spent most of the weekend shooting dots at 7 yards or steal at about 15. I can say without hesitation that the system is the fastest I’ve ever run. Having experience with factory sights, a couple other brands of nights sights, and fiber optics I’m quickest with the XS. The big fat front dot site just draws my focus. Accuracy with the XS at those distances was more than acceptable. With that said, when we backed up to a little over 40 yards (do demonstrate how proper site picture and trigger control will hold up at longer distances), I went from the head of the class to the back of the line. I struggled with hits on steal at that distance. In the end, I may land with the XS on my G19 for defensive work and fiber optics on the 17 for IDPA. I’ll probably run a few matches with the XS G17 set-up to be sure. Best of luck with your decision.

As for a Glock USPSA set-up, the hot pairing around here is a Heinie or Warren rear w/ a Dawson Precision FO front. VERY fast, clean sight picture. Don't know anyone w/ a Glock w/o those sights.
 
My Glocks for Duty (35) and Off-duty (19) are required to have night sights front and back. Having used (and not used) night sights in night-shooting competitions, I wouldn't be without them; they are essential equipment in a defensive handgun for anyone who lives where it sometimes gets dark. ;)

The best combination of night-sights and crisp, clear sight picture (like that 10-8 sight--crisp and precise) I've found is the Heine Slant-pro Straight Eight.

Was worried about the height of the Dawson. That was the other part of the equation. Too tall and it would not fit in my holster. Finally got the Dawson with a Heine slant pro rear. Satisfied with it so far. Did not get the results back from the last match to see if I shot any better. But at least I felt that I shot better.

Ditto that. Heinie + DP for games, Heinie SPSE's for work/HD. Clean and fast.
 
Riss, that's exactly the setup I have for my 34. Although that 10-8 rear or the dawson adjustable rear with a FO front tempts me. Next Glock I get I might have to try those.
 
The Dawson front fiber optic is .285 or so tall. The dot is smaller than the one I had before, a standard HiViz red. But the outline of the Dawson's black surround of the red dot makes for a crisper front sight picture.
