Can anyone tell me what these stampings symbolize?
Are they proofmarks?
This is a Glock 17 with a 3 digit serial number.

Those are Austrian proof marks.

Looks like your slide was manufactured and proof tested in the Glock factory in Austria.

Thanks dfariswheel!
You are a much appreciated fountain of knowledge that I see on other forums and you are to be commended for donating so much of your time to answer questions in a way that could only come from a very experienced expert in the gun field.
Merry Christmas. :)

FWIW, the NP indicates the Nitro (smokeless powder) proof and the "V" indicates the Vienna proof house. The eagle is the preliminary proof.

Thanks, Jim K.

Does having this stamp date this gun or make it more desireable, to anyone's knowledge?
