so has anyone seen the current issue of American Handgunner? The big feature is the Kimber Desert Warrior but how many good looking factory-custom 1911s have we all seen, right? They're great but you see 'em all the time.

The real eye catcher for me was in a story about half way through the magazine detailing the gun writers' personal preferance of defense weapons. they run the usual gamut from ar15s and 1911s to wheel guns to 870s and glocks. Nothing really special here either; until i see a very small picture in about the middle of the second page of the story. A glock 37 and glock 36 with what looks like some very tasteful refinishing and nice looking grip reductions.

These were two awesome looking glocks and I hate the way glocks look. They are black soul-less box-like tools that launch bullets. But these glocks had some character.

What I want to see is your custom glocks. Show me some pictures of your or others' customized or refinished glocks.

(And if anyone knows anything about the G37 in the picture in the magazine i'm talking about please share that info, i'd like to know where that work got done, it looks awesome!)

A nice-looking Glock? Wow. I always considered Glocks sort of like the pistol equivalent of older Volvos from the 80's and such. They might be safe at the moment of need, but they are ugly, boxy things.

*Minor edit for profanity.
