LNIB 29-2 S&W 44 mag. Blues 4in, Made in 1981. What is the going rate, No box. I very seldom see the blued models. Especially 4in guns
......with one too many "holes" of course.
All M29's came standard with 3T configuration, at least from 1982 back. I concur with your value, I'd say closer to $1300 if 95% or better, and with original GA target stocks. 4" barrel is very desirable.I'd expect that gun as described to have $1100-1300 on the tag at a local shop or show- a bit more perhaps with the 3xTs.
Huh, sure nuff. Never noticed before. Makes sense, I sure wouldn't want to light off a .44 Mag. with Magnagrips. Lol.All M29's came standard with 3T configuration, at least from 1982 back. The target models .40 caliber and up came with 3T. M29, M57, M25, I suppose because they were such a handful. I guess the M58, being a budget LE focused gun, didn't get them because of cost. There was a period of time between 1975 and 1980, where the M27-2 was standard 3T.Huh, sure nuff. Never noticed before. Makes sense, I sure wouldn't want to light off a .44 Mag. with Magnagrips. Lol.
I would have pick up the 29-2 but the barrel was too longFor me and just speaking for me, I would pay up to $1500 for either the 4 1/2” 29-2 that .357smallbore started this thread about or the 29-2 that Mark Mark posted. They don’t make them like they use to couldn’t be more true in this instance.
I picked up a 27-2 made in 1978 that was unfired for $1000 about 4 years ago and felt like I got a pretty good price.
6”?
Yes.
I love a 6” Smith, perfect proportions and in Blue too! Dang that’s a good price… Online or local?Yes.
Semi-local. Collector Firearms has a store in both Houston and Austin. This one was in the Houston store and I had them ship it to Austin. It already has a new set of S&W target grips. They came on a 581 I bought so I had an extra pair!I love a 6” Smith, perfect proportions and in Blue too! Dang that’s a good price… Online or local?

6 and under for me! 3.5 would be KILLER!Oohhh. 4" Blued 29 is a grail gun for me...
I would just buy it and be done.

Bought my first 6" 29 in 1971 for $150 bucks from a guy that fired 6 rounds thru it and didn't like the recoil. Still own it and will pass down to grandkids. Love that beautiful revolver!i think i paid 550.00 each years ago. 29-2,s.
