well I just checked one wholesaler and 2/3rds of them are not available, do you have a model number?? I'll give you what I'd set a fair price at for discussion. Lots of choices out there............

I don't have an actual model number, but from looking at the Springfield Armory website I was interested in the M1A standard or the shorter scout squad model.
I prefer the walnut stock.

The best place to buy an M1A, is to check the PX over at the M14 Firing Line, or the M14-M1A marketplace over on Warrifles. I wager you'll find a deal in one of those two places.

Hey buzzbox--

I'm not familiar with those web sites. Care to link for those of us who've never been?

Thanks a bunch in advance.

The EE on AR15.com has an M14 section... plenty of good deals pop up over there

EOTACforum.com is another good place to look.

Don't limit yourself to just the M1A, there is more to choose from.

If you are looking for a used one the AR15 forsale section is a good place to look.

If you are looking for brand new, prices include shipping to your FFL.

I have had a Standard SA M1A for several years. I have never been disappointed in it or its accuracy. I guess if you plan on putting big scope on it and going out to 600 yards, the national match and others might be your thing.

I got it at a gun show down here in Houston. There are always one or two guys selling them at the bigger shows.
