Gotta give credit where credit is due (Kel-Tec)

My father bought a P11 9mm from a friend a while back for my mother as a home defense gun. The previous owner bought it brand new, but had trouble feeding HP ammunition through it.

I don't know the exact details, but I'm guessing he paid Kel-Tec to do some work to it. They kept it a little longer than expected, so they shipped him a FREE magazine with it, and a handwritten note explained the circumstances.

It now feeds HP ammunition with no problem, and functions like a brand new gun. I am looking to pick up a couple of Kel-Tec's stuff, for some reason, I just really like their line up.

me too!

I've talked the Rev into getting the sub 2k in 40 cal
I talked another buddy into the PF9
Both love them.
RevKharma got his and has called twice to rub it in that he loves it and I don't have one.:fire:
My p3at shoots better and more comfortably than 380's of larger size. Gotta say, great company, better prices. The designs are rather spartan (the later offerings are getting more nic-nacs) but they do exactly what they are supposed to and very nicely. For the money and the service you really can't beat them.:D

Look at the extractor. Thats the easiest way. Go to KTOG.org and there are a few side by sides of the 1 gen and 2 gen/

how can you tell if you have a 1st or 2nd gen P3AT ?

The two gens...side by side. Note the differences in the extractor design. The one with the large bolt and leaf spring on the side is the second generation one. Also note the guide rod hole area. Second gen is more "blocky" and does not have the removable guide rod hole piece that the 1st gen has.

Now if only they'd get the RFB out.

No WAY!!! They need to keep it on the drawing board.
If they bring it out now, do you realize what the price of already skyrocketing .308 would do??!!!??

I use to look down my nose at Kel-Tecs from my high and mighty Custom 1911 throne. Then my neighbor let me shoot his Kel-Tec .380. Hmm even though I don't like the .380 that pistol runs 100% and like they say the best pistol is the one you have with you 24/7. So I headed off to my local gun shop and picked up a PF-9 because I like 9mm a lot more than .380. Anyway that is a nice 9mm but I did have some light primer strikes on mil-surplus ammo.I drove the pistol to Kel-Tec and in 45 minutes they had replaced the slide, barrel, trigger bar, and fluff and buffed it. Been 100% ever since Kel-tec is in my pocket and those custom 1911s are now range pistols because you can't pack one in Florida in the summer although Winter is coming!

There are a few companies that have good customer service like that Arnold arms was that way while they were in business, Oly Arms has been very good over the years, Wilkerson Arms was another good one but the have gone out of business to.
