So I am swapping a buddy a 1991a1 for a USP 9 plus mags, holster and cash this week. Any stuff that is tacti-cool or otherwise needed? I owned this weapon once for about a couple of days, but this time I think I will hang onto it. Jet funnels? Lights? Holsters? Other than ammo, what should I invest in for this gun?

Buy ammo and shoot the crap out of it. Once you have a few hundred rounds through it, you will know what if anything you want to add.

Those things are pretty much good to go "as is". If you plan on shooting lead (i.e. unjacketed) bullets, you might want to get a Jarvis barrel or similar.

9mm, as pricey as it is, is still pretty cheap. However, combined with my G17 reloading may become a necessity in the near future. Can anyone recommend a threaded barrel for a can, if I decide to go that route?

Plenty of ammo (the USP will digest pretty much anything)......

Shoot, shoot, shoot and shoot some more.

All the tactical this that and whatnot won't help you if you cannot hit the target.

See if you can find a H&K barrel for the USP 9mm Tactical model. They should be interchangeable. Short of that you could get a Jarvis or something similar.
