Gotta stop shopping... bought a S&W 1911

I saw this S&W 1911 PD Commander today and couldn't help myself....



That brings the stable to 3 1911's, 2 Colt and the new S&W...



Ran about 100 rounds through it this afternoon, ran perfect. Trigger is a little stiffer than my Gold Cup, but let's see after it breaks in. Shoots very accurately....I think with a set of slim grips on it, it would be a great carry gun.....

I really need to stop....although I'm still thinking about a Wilson CQB Compact someday

Is there any checkering on the front/rear straps?
Hard to tell from the picture.

Front and rear are both checkered - front with straight lines, rear with actual checkering.

Don't sweat the purchase, Pak, you would have been out of balance with the universe and all that with only a small and a large.

Nice set up. I prefer a Colt but I have been looking at that S&W on sale at a local shop.
