Hey all, I'm looking for something different, but functional to shoot. I've already have a few semi auto rimfire guns, but I want something a little dfferent.

I'm looking at the GSG AK, but am skeptical. Anyone own these?

I don't expect it to have the chugability as my Ruger 10/22.

I don't expect it to be as accurate my Marlin XT-22

But I do want it to last through outings involving 1-2000 rounds going through this gun a month. We do faster paced steel shooting in the desert involving fun tactical drills.

Thank you!

I think it is also worth noting that I'd buy a good old WASR 22:Din a heartbeat if I could find one. But they seem to have disappeared from even the nooks and crannys of the internet!:scrutiny:

Lots of AKs on there to choose from for cheap.

I've only handled a GSG AK polymer model. The plastic stocks felt really thin and cheap so I'd go for the wood. It is lighter and doesn't quite feel like a "real" AK, but for $300 I think it is fair.
