New Guide Gun in 45/70...fired today...very accurate, but extremely difficult cycling not smooth at all, and you have to force the leaver back into position to chamber a round. Smith at range said it looked like a 336 ejector or extractor had been put in and "fitted" for purpose and was too high. Sooo...do I send it back to Marlin with their current issues going on, or do I just get my local smith to put in the bearproof Wild West parts I was saving up for anyway?

A new Marlin 336BL has been near the top of my "to buy" list for over a year now. Never got around to picking one up and now with all the problems the "new" Marlin has been having, I may never get one. :cuss:

Oh, well, I suppose I could just get an older 336 with the regular lever...
