In England, where gun crime has gone up 35% in the last year ,they are having a one month amnesty period for those who turn in their guns. I thought they banned guns in England ! Where did they all come from ? They will never learn.
Early this morning I saw that story on the BBC airing on CSPAN. They showed piles of all sorts of guns evidently collected by police. The fact that they have to resort to another amnesty is proof that the whole ban is a failure. They mentioned the drug related shootings, but made no mention of random street crime on innnocent defenseless people. You can't even carry anything that could be used as a defensive weapon in the UK.
Amnesty!!! What a crock of s**t ...... so yeah . of course, the crooks are gonna be queuing up to hand em in ..... NOT.
Just another attempt at vote catching .......... seeming to be doing ''the right thing''. They wanna stop and really think about their gun crime figures ... ya know .. ''common sense'' ... that thing politicians seem so short on.
You mean the recent letter from the head of Scotland Yard pleading with criminals to comply with the law didn't work?? I don't understand. Maybe he should have said "Purty Please".
I've been hearing adverts for it all morning on the radio. They will get a lot of airguns, children's toys, replicas, rusty old shotguns that fall to bits as they are handed over, and a few war souvenirs.
