the guns the Special weapons Company made, the HK clones etc, were never all that reliable....

however upon calling them and asking them about service etc.....a rep told me that in a few months (this was some time ago) id be unable to get anything from them....

the company SPECIAL WEAPONS told me outright, they were stopping civilian sales and going "all military"

because, they said,..... "(we) hate the public, and dont want to deal with them anymore"

i said "really?.....zat so"

Reply: "yes, weve had it dealing with the (low-end) buyer, calling and bugging us about a (single) gun they bought"

yes, thats EXACTLY what they said.....:D :scrutiny:

Just when you thought H&K had the worst relationship with civilians. :D

Cuz that's what the military and LEO community needs. Shoddily manufactured, semi functional, pieces of garbage with little to no end user support. Sounds like a match made in heaven. I am sure there is a RFP out there with just those specs. :neener::scrutiny:

Yes, that is the response typical of Special Weapons. It is a shame because his company had great potential in the beginning, but due to personalities, has not faired well with the public. He will soon find out dealing with the G-men will not be any less precarious.

BTW, Special Weapons' website layout makes the 6lb 8oz baby Jesus cry.

Dear Lord. I know that small businesses and single-proprietor companies can sometimes have a simple/crude web presence, because they're putting effort into making a good product, but c'mon. These guys should be interested in roping in the unwary with a slick website and an appearance of professionalism. They're not even good at baseless self-promotion.

Doomed!

Mike

Uhh... whose military? Maybe one of those CIA black ops - whereby a supposed friend of the insurgents gets a load of HKs shipped in. Insurgents are happy as clams, pose for mall-ninja pictures, and decide to go shoot up a convoy. A few shots, then they start jamming somethin' fierce.

Maybe Special Weapons is going to arm Mexico.
Heh.

P.S.: Where IS Special Weapons' website?

oddly enough, i notice they STILL list a few (nasty looking) civilian models ...

I owned a SW52, which took AK mags...........

hey........let me say......THE MOST UNRELIABLE PIECE OF BOAT ANCHOR IVE EVER OWNED!!!!!

You couldnt get even 4 rounds to feed without a JAM from Hades.

i STILL HATE the private FFL that suckered me into buying that SW52 Lemon-with-a-barrel
..

now, however, i notice the SW52 is commanding $1800.00+, cause they didnt make many of them.....

i got rid of mine to the first dufus i could find...i told him it jammed, he wanted it anyways....

now ill bet hes laughing at me...cause that non-functional TURD is now with its weight in Silver.

Ill never forget them telling me they "HATE THE PUBLIC"

I hope the only "guberment" contract they get is Al Quida. We need to take all of those reliable old AKs out of their hands and replace them with a brand new cobbled together one shot Special Weapons "gun".

Screw Toad

Toad Bailey & Speshul Weppons.

So bad even 23 name changes can't outrun the crappy product and reputation. Hesse can't even keep up with that kind of track record, but they're close.

As the comedian Ron White says, "You can't fix stupid!" -- Special Weapons will figure that out eventually.

They've been saying that same "going military" thing for about 4 years. Still no evidence to support.

What's the myriad of company names, selling the same products?

you misinterpreted the companies response. "We hate the public" is code for:

"our product(s) suck and we are about to go belly up."

Unless they're going into business building rubber ducks for the military or something, I can't imagine what the Special Weapons folks would mean by that. Why would .mil need someone who makes HK clones when they buy real HK weapons by the truck load if/when they need an MP5, HK53, or whatever.

They should have really said

" We hate the public. We are only selling to Mall Ninjas now. THey appreciate our shoddy workmanship. We are also getting into tactical wheelbarrows."

um... why would an LE department or a military unit purchase HK clones when they could buy real select-fire HKs? That just sounds.... delusional.

I'm guessing at this point the company is nothing more than a shell to get "demo request" letters for building new toys.

You have to interpret what they are really saying. This is failure-speak for "...due to our crappy product, and lack of character we will be bankrupt within 4 years".

The Toad will tell you anything to;
#1 get your money.
or
#2 blow you off.

gubermint contract!? HA:rolleyes:

I was at a Utah based company that makes similar guns as SW but with a very good reputation. They had a one of SW guns on the repair shelf and I asked the owner about them. He just smiled and said "they sent it to us to repair it". ;)
