It sure did say that the victim was the carjacker. What morons. Can no one ever get anything straight?

One less bad guy on the road. Its a shame it had to come to that ending....

^ Yep they said near the end of the video that they found a gun on him after the wreck.

vic·tim
noun \ˈvik-təm\
a (1) : one that is injured, destroyed, or sacrificed under any of various conditions <a victim of cancer> <a victim of the auto crash> <a murder victim>

Before anyone else freaks out over nothing.

the poor victim was shot by the owner of the vehicle in Detroit??....nobody said what kind of weapon was used or what was the victim carrying when he died? The news needs to get better details

+1

They were both "victims," by defintion. One of carjacking, and one of being shot. No harm done by using appropriate English.

Cards - connotation has a lot to do with English. The Lawyer is very specifically using victim in regards to the person who was thwarted in committing a crime to gain sympathy.

To be honest, his whole job is words... How to twist them, bend them, interpret then, and apply them to make others react the way he wants at a certain time. He's just showing he is adept at his trade here.

[They were both "victims," by definition. One of carjacking, and one of being shot. No harm done by using appropriate English./QUOTE]

People assume that a victim is usually innocent so while the definition is correct it is misused and misleading, go figure the news being slanted and misleading, so I would disagree that harm wasn't done in reporting it that way. He was far from innocent.
Spin doctors should stick to politics.
I still want to know what weapon was used??
