Just PCSed to Tinker AFB, and I'm wondering if any locals could point me to some decent gunshops in the area.

So far I've been to Gun World, which seems to be an outright ripoff, and H&H which seemed ok, not great but ok.

So far I like this state, just not too big on the wind!

I woudn't go into GunWorld's parking lot to let my dog take a crap on their grass.

Up the street from GunWorld, on the other side of the street is Brigadoon's. Great place. Further up the street and then turn left is King's Gun and Pawn, they are pretty good. Outdoor America, if you can get a saleman to acknowledge you there. Out of town towards the airport is Big Boys Guns and Ammo - they are very female friendly if you want to buy a gift for someone special.

There is an awesome place over in Mustang. Seems like it was listed as a pawn shop, but is definately a gun shop. Someone help me out here.

There is an awesome place over in Mustang.

Yes, you are right. I was thinking of that place, but couldn't think of the name of the pawn or the town. It is right on the main street in Mustang with a great big sign. It can't be missed. I think it is something Trading... but it is a big pawn and gun shop. They have "flexible" lunch hours though, and never answer the phone.

Mustang Gun and Pawn on Highway 152 and Mustang Rd.

Go west on I 40 to Mustang rd. exit and head south a few miles to Ok.state hwy 152.

I have been going to Fred Baker's OA (Outdoor America) for twenty + years and usually find everything I need at decent prices The sales people are polite and well read. The problem is there are a lot of "lookers" and not "buyers".

Welcome to Oklahoma !!!!

Welcome to Oklahoma. There is a lot of good people here. Now I am going to give you an idea about the wind--the summer is the only time that it does not blow hard, and then when it does you feel like you are in blast furnace.

As to places to visit you have the following that I can think of off the top of my head: OKC Area you can go to Sportsmans Warhouse, Big Boys Gun and Ammo, Brigadoon, Kings Pawn, rebel Jebs (ormer D&B Gold), C&J Sporting Goods, Mustang Pawn and Gun, Gene Sears (in El Reno), and of course the dreadedGun World.

In Shawnee there is Circle D Pawn, Bills Firearms, and another place I can not think of.

Duncan has a place too but have not been there in a while.
