I am new to this sight and I hope someone can help me with a little information. I have an H&R 922 with a serial Number beginning with R. I lost the cylinder for it 25 years ago and I have decided to try to locate a replacement. I have located one in California and I am in PA, so I can't physically try it before purchasing it. The gentleman tells me that it is a 1970's vintage, and the gun that it came from serial number began with AN. Can anyone tell me if it is the correct one for my gun. Thank You in advance for any help. Tom

Eriewalleye,

That's a tough first question....:).....Welcome to the forum! I'm just guessing here but I would think you want the same serial number range and even with that a GSmith may need to fit it to ensure proper timing.

There is a member here who collects HR's and is very knowledgable about them, his name escapes me now but he may read this and get you on the right path. It may be less expensive to keep yours for a parts gun and buy a different one altogether.

You may want to try Rimfire.com....they have a HR forum that could help. Good Luck and hope you get er fixed up.

Thank You Remllez and TR for your responses. Remllez, you were correct. TR, I called Jack First and talked to Becky and they do not have any in stock, but she did provide information as to what series I need. Being that my revolver serial number begins with R, I need a cylinder from a revolver that the serial begins with K through V. At least now I know what to look for. Again Thanks for your help. Tom
