In these times of component shortages, I am finding myself using powders that I already have for calibers that I typically used another powder for. An example of this is using Promo shotgun powder to load .38 special wadcutter ammo. It is not ideal, but it works pretty well.
This leads me to a question regarding H335 powder. Does anyone have any familiarity with using it in 147-150 gr. .308 service rifle loads? Usually I use Varget or IMR 4046, but that is not something I have a large supply of at the moment. I do, however, have 10 pounds of H335 that I use for my .223. I know that you can load .30-06 service rifle loads with it as I have done it successfully. I have searched the internet for H335 service rifle .308 data, and see reports that it can be done, but have never found the data. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I know that there are better choices, but if worse comes to worse, can I use it for this?
