it's nice that they like, you know cared enough to go out and actually shoot some guns.
maybe we can get the bungie guys to come out and shoot with us sometime.
we can write sevens on all our guns and put wierd acronyms on the bottoms of all of our ammo boxes.

I might actually TRY Halo if they ever ported it back to the PC instead of that stupid XBox.

Th article says they were wearing plugs. They also commented on how loud the guns were and didn't sound a thing like in tv and movies.
BTW, I was a die-hard anit-console guy until I bought an Xbox. Now I don't have to buy a new video card every year as the games get more sophisticated. The Xbox is cheaper than a good video card. Oh, and games a sooooo cool on a 60" bigscreen tv!

Unfortunately they have been saying that for years. It was originally designed for the PC too...they ported it the Xbox and never released a PC version. At any rate....back to the guns. Some nice hardware they got to play with....lucky guys. Maybe Halo 2 will be based more around realistic weaponry and tactics?

I love HALO. And I love my XBOX. I have now won every level on Legendary solo. Library took me a couple hundred trys. Yep I'm a dork.
There are some gun problems in HALO. Why does the pistol have zoom, yet the rifle doesn't? And why is the rifle so horribly inaccurate? My gosh, it covers a ten foot circle at 200 yards.
I ditch the human weapons as fast as I can (except the shotgun) and go with plasma pistol. Forget the plasma rifle, over heats to fast. Pistol works better, plus you can charge it up and it takes the shields off of those damnable jackels.
Shotgun for Flood. Only way to go.
And the needle gun. Now there is a wicked cool weapon. Always use long bursts. Big pink explosions. Yea!
And you know you have been playing way to long, when you just run around and punch Hunters to death.
And why a thousand years in the future does the Warthog handle like such a piece of crap? Gotta love the M2esq gun on the back though.

Another issue with the pistol... why does it have a rear sight, but no front sight? That big lumpy thing in the front blocks off any possible sight picture, so why not just get rid of that silly rear thing?
Oh wait, I know. It's just a video game.

Judging by the gameplay video, the combat will be a lot more realistic than in halo 1.
for one thing, the rifle seems to put them grunts down pretty well with just one or two solid hits, as opposed to half a magazine from the HALO 1 rifle.

Just playing with some guns once isnt' going to do much for the game. If you want a good gun game... some of the staff are going to have to be actual gun nuts. Staff that is with some of the creative control.

I was a HALO addict for a few weeks. A cousin of mine was pretty ill & had to stay home & in be for a couple of months. In that time, he picked up a XBOX to kill the time. We played for hours on end 
Thank goodness he got better!
