Hello everyone,

I want to buy a relatively inexpensive handgun rest so I am looking for options, solutions. I am doing extreme high-speed ballistic photography (see link) and for some shots I want to fire the handgun from fixed position.

I know about Ransom rest. Other manufacturers?

Any tips welcomed!

I once had a store bought handgun rest. I've also used a scrap piece of carpet which works just as good. Roll it up and tape it to stay put.

The Ransom is the only one I know of that will allow remote firing of the weapon and return it to the same position every time. Brownell's carries them and the special inserts to hold various models of guns.

I don't know of any competing products.
