Anyone on THR that will be going to this Gun Show?

How do you get a deal at a gun show when you really don't know prices?

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Ray

I don't know when I will be going, but if I get there on Saturday morning, I will try to look you up (saw you on your wanderingmen site, I think).

I've never been to the Gun Show and have no idea how big it is or how hard it will be to find someone there.

I'm in Laurel.

Thanks.

I'll be missing it most likely. I've been kinda disappointed with this particular one the last three times.

Yep, still going strong. Crescent and Purple Parrot are going well.

Hey, J, I came by the office last week but all was locked up. Gotta package for you.

Gentlemen,

Thanks for the update. The MB saved me while I was in grad school at USM in the late 90's. A haven of hope, so to say... :)

Ash,

Sorry I missed you. You won't see me much at the office lately. I'm in the process of selling that building.

Turns out that I AM going to the gunshow today. My little nephew didn't get to go last time and is dying to go to his first.

I have no idea what I'll be wearing, but, but I'll look for you. I'm sure its jeans and something. This week I am sporting a crew cut and goatee. It finally got so hot that I snapped and told Jenn to get the clippers to my hair.

We'll probably be there in the morning/noonish time.

Was at the gun show this morning and a friend of mine is selling a few of my guns for me this afternoon (or at least I'm hoping that he does).

Was at The Mahogany Bar Monday night. I arrived at Crescent City a few minutes after 10 pm and it doesn't seat anybody after 10 pm. However, I had a great 3 cheese burger in The Mahogany Bar as they have a limited menu available after 10 pm.

Ray,

You need to know at least a reasonable range of prices for any particular gun that you are interested in; or if you really want it and are willing to pay what they are asking, then just buy it.

If I have a gun in mind that I am interested in buying, I look at some websites that sell guns on the internet and see what they are asking to get an idea of what asking prices might reasonably be (though there is sometimes quite a bit of variability here).

A lot of times, the best deals are from people just walking around with their own guns; I usually don't find a lot of good deals on the tables (though there are some exceptions).

eotp,

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate that.

I was hoping to go today, but we had several other commitments.

I will get there tomorrow and check on the deals.
