My EDC is not a revolver, but I do frequently switch to one when I feel a little nostalgic. When I do, which is about once a week or so, it's a Ruger Police Service Six once carried as a duty weapon by my dad..
Another interesting thread from Sharps.....
My SP101 went on my weekly trailcam datacard collecting 4wheeler run yesterday.
The little NAA .22 mag mini revolver with holstergrip goes almost everywhere I do. (around the farm, of course)
I took mine out to the range just yesterday after over a month without shooting. It is very forgiving. Then I brought it home and made the Boy clean it while I cleaned my 9mm. <evil grin>
I carry a S&W 337 in a Galco Ankle Glove and a S&W 640-1 IWB most of the time. The ankle rig is old habit from LEO days. The feathery 337 with bobbed hammer works well on the ankle and easily reached when sitting. When I started in LE work in the 1970's, the revolver was THE police handgun back then and I still feel most comfortable with revolvers. I don't know about love but I trust my revolvers to work if needed.
Carry my Smith & Wesson 342 Ti .38 spl everywhere outside my four walls.
It is a back-up to my issued Glock 22 Gen 3 .40 S&W while I work and backs a 1911 Commander or Glock 19 or 23 typically these days when I am on my own time.
Sometimes I swap the 342 Ti for a 640 in .38 or a 642.
I take my 642 for a walk (literally) every night that I am on duty.
It is my BUG at work, and I keep it on my ankle so I can get to it while seated in the car. I can get to it faster than I can get my duty gun off my hip when I get approached while in my car. It is also small enough to keep concealed while I am being contacted. The person approaching usually never knows that I have a gun pointed at them during the contact.
When I was young, I was a wheelgun fan. I moved into 1911s, and now polymer pistols, so I nonly have three revolvers, all by S&W: a .38 Airweight, a .22LR all-steel snubbie, and a 5" .357 686+ Pro. They don't get a lot of use, but I still enjoy shooting them. I load some reduced 158gr wadcutters that my wife loves to shoot.
