When I read of the profiteering going on during Panic 2013, this thread reminds me of those honorable qualities most shooters possess. I can't tell you how many times I've swapped guns/ammo with other shooters. People have given me things; I've given things to others. That's part of the camaraderie of this sport. We're in this boat together.
I gave a friend of a friend 200 rounds of .40 cal because he drove out of his way to come and look at one of our cars and then put the sensors on it for free.
I can't count all the ammo and supplies I have passed out over the years but when your job and $$ run out, so do the " friends " and here i sit with one firearm left and 20 rds of .223 to my name.
I've given away tidbits of ammo before the panic and during. Just enough for a friend or a family member to hunt or shoot as needed at the time. I'm sure I'll do it again in the future as well.
I used to do that, then I figured out I was the chump searching for ammo while my "freinds" knew right where to get it,...... my house.
I take care of my family first.
