Heave or bull barrel for a savage 110

It's a 30-06 and I would like to get either a heavy or bull barrel for it in about 3 months. I have no idea who makes them or the cost. Can anyone point me in a direction of where I could find and price these?

Midway sell heavy barrels for the 110

If you want a really good barrel then you need to contact one of the better barrel makers.

What are you planning on using this rifle for. If it is a hunting rifle and its going to be carried you might want to rethink a bull or heavy barrel. Also if your replacing a standard contour barrel with a bull barrel you will probably have to do some stock work or get a new stock for it to fit.

The Shaw barrels at Miday USA are not the best qaulity. Look at Lothar Walther http://www.lothar-walther.de/html/339.php , or Shilen http://www.shilen.com/savageBarrels.html , McGowen http://www.mcgowenbarrel.com/savage.htm all make good drop in barrels.

Also try Sharp Shooter Supply ( http://www.sharpshootersupply.com/ ). He can get you what you want. The going price on a bull barrel, pre-threaded and chambered, is in the $300 area.
