Hey guys,
Need some help.
Right now I own a little Bersa Thunder380. Which is a nice gun and know that its a pocket pistol and to me not really a good target pistol over 10 yrds.
I truly have issues hitting @ the 7-15yrd mark in the green area of my target. However, I do alway hit the target, but it's all over it. So not to happy.
So I was BS'ing w/ couple of guys that had there handguns and they let me shoot a couple.
They were a Springfield 1911, Walther P99 and Ruger 9mm.
After shooting these three, the p99 and 1911 were for the win.
Now knowing that the 9mm is a great bullet, but hearing from others its just fast and when in protection its just going to go through the attacker, So they recommended either the 40 or 45 which will do more damage.
So in all honesty, The Springfield rocked. Loved the recoil and most of all, my hits. They were all in the RED. I think I meet my match. This gun is a gift to me. So I am looking at the springfield, but I am not sure which one to get.
I would like to spend no more then $500.00 so these are the models, but I am not sure what the difference is. Anyone have a recommendation on which of these below would be the one to get?? I perfer no compact one (if there is such @ model from Springfield).
Springfield GI .45 1911-A1 Parkerized .45 ACP
Springfield GI .45 1911-A1 Champion
Springfield GI .45 1911-A1 Lightweight Champion
Springfield GI .45 1911-A1 Stainless
Springfield GI .45 1911-A1 High Capacity
