I made another impulse purchase on ebay today. a handfull of magazines of unknown make.

I really only got it for the possibility that one might be for a colt 1903 pocket pistol in .32, and one might be a pre war colt woodsman. but I really have no idea as to what the rest are. I haven't taken posession of them yet, (they're in the mail)

if the woodsman mag or the pocket mag works out then the rest are just for fun, it was 30.45 shipped for all of them.

thanks guys.

wild speculation in lieu of actual knowledge would work for me in this case, so long as it comes with a warning.

I don't know any of them for sure offhand. They look like mostly cheap low caliber mags like Bryco .380s and such. Probably a lot of .25acp, 32acp and .380 stuff. When you get the mags in hand, you might be able to tell more because some may have markings on them. One is a old .22lr mag but I can't say for sure if it a Colt Woodsman or a maybe some type of High Standard mag. That one should be marked. If it is either a Colt or High Standard, you probably got your money's worth.

If you find out what the others are and you don't have a use for them, put them up for sale on the for sale section and there may be somebody looking for just that mag. I know when I sometimes get an oddball pistol like a cheap .25ACP or something, mags are always hard to find.

that silver one with the holes looks like it might be a fie .25acp mag. ive seen em with the holes like that before.

the reason I think the .22lr clip is a woodsman is the squared off butplate

all high standards have a steep angle not a 90 degree flush fit.

all post war produciton colt woodsmans have the same steep angle.

It might be an erma .22 for their luger copy, but I think that had an oddball butpalte.

the .32's look an awful lot like my lil colt. it would be soooo nice to get a spare for it.

as far as the rest of em, they'll probably stick around for a rainy day when I need a gun mag, or for trade material. gotta keep trade fodder.

With the prices for mags nowadays if even one of them works in any of my or my friends guns it was a good deal. especially if they fit the colts. or that one that looks like a .380 browning or a savage could offset the cost.
