As you may already know, the RG revolvers were very low quality Saturday Night Specials, and prone to parts breakage & wear.
It usually costs more to fix them & keep them working then they are worth, so not a lot of experiance working on them out there.
All I can say for sure is take the sideplate off and see what you see.
